Hmmm… They seem to be a necessary evil, don’t they? Taking on
promises, revisiting our to-do lists, and maybe even making them
longer. Well, my to-do list is certainly long enough already. I don’t
plan on adding stuff. If anything, I’m taking stuff off, shortening the
list, you might say, in order to focus on what’s necessary and not just
what’s nice.
So what’s necessary? Well, to share those kinds of
details would be a bit personal, don’t you think? I mean, I’d be
admitting, on this global forum, what I have failed to do throughout
the year, wouldn’t I? And that would be … beyond embarrassing.
But
we all know that I’m a procrastinator. Nothing new there. So what harm
does it to do confirm it, again? And in confirming it, I give you a big
clue as to my main — and basically only New Year’s resolution — to
cut back on procrastination.
Sounds like an elusive and vague
goal, doesn’t it? Only as long as I don’t set specific goals. And I am
setting goals. I just don’t want to specify them — because again, that
would be embarrassing.
Best wishes everyone for a wonderful New Year, one that’s full of realistic and achievable goals!
