Switched to Thesis; Nattering On

Spent a peaceful day switching this blog to the Thesis Theme by DiyThemes. Absolutely love this theme. Easy to change everything around, to make it fit with my website. Am thinking of switching the entire website over to Thesis. Different homepage. The whole nine yards.

Gave up on NaNo. Had too many other irons in the fire, and was in too much “discomfort” after recent surgery. (And still am.) But did well for the first week: pounded out 15,000 words. Fairly decent words, too.

Have resumed work on an old manuscript. The story is excellent, but the writing is very uneven. Sometimes, it reads like a bad rehash of some very good old movies. Sometimes the characters, when speaking, sound as though they’re very inexperienced acting students reading the work of an even less experienced writer.

But it’s a great story.

Am hoping to get back the proofed version of my latest Lanie Price novel tomorrow. Will run through the correction, then send it off. Then it’s time to get around to preparing for the holidays. Baby Girl will be home on Wednesday. Can’t wait!
