The First Signs of Trouble

This was the view outside Tyler’s apartment yesterday evening. We were still technically outside the evacuation zone but by only a few blocks. So we evacuated an hour’s drive east to Amanda’s house in Hollywood. Safe and sound.

Officials turned off the electricity minutes after we arrived so we had a nice reunion in the semi-dark, but that was fine. This morning, (it’s 5 am). The fire appears to still be out of control.

Hopefully things will improve by this afternoon.
