Huntington Beach

My, my, my! “L.A. Firestorm.” That’s a dramatic title for it, isn’t it? But it’s a dramatic time, so the title is fitting. We’re staying at a beautiful house in Huntington Beach, a lovely AirBnB. The air is good. I’m looking forward to our stay here. Stefano’s parents flew back to Italy yesterday.
Amanda’s husband, Rishi, returned from a work assignment in New York yesterday evening. Amanda drove back to Hollywood to pick him up, and the two of them returned late last night. So we’ll get a report from her when she returns with him.
I had a great day yesterday, spent the afternoon working in the living room, sitting with Tyler and Stefano. Watching Tyler with Augie is a source of pure joy. She’s a wonderful mother, patient, loving, generous. Watching the three of them together is magic. I’m so grateful, so very grateful to be here, able to see them.
I produced two character vignettes, one on Danny O’Callahan and the other on Lawrence Whitaker. Really good, solid pieces, with fully developed characters. They’re so interesting that they make me think about fleshing out their stories. We’ll see.
Stefano’s parents are safely back in Italy, resting. I’m sure they’re thrilled to be back home.
We’re really hoping the air will be better by next week. We’re to leave here on the 19th and, as far as I know, head back to our respective AirBnBs in Santa Monica.
Six moves. So far.
